Statement by the Administrative-General on the 15th Anniversary of the Antarctic Micronational Union

+Extra Antarcticam Nulla Salus+

Members and friends of the Antarctic Micronational Union,

Today, our organization celebrates its 15th anniversary. On December 6, 2008, the Grand Duchy of Flandrensis, the Kingdom of Finismund, and Marie State signed a document establishing the Grupo del Acuerdo Micronacional Antártico: the direct predecessor of the AMU.

Since that day, the AMU has stood as a unifying force in Antarctic micronationalism, committed to the collective recognition of borders, procedural voting for new members, and steadfast advocacy for the preservation of Antarctica.

This year, Flandrensis has rejoined our ranks, a testament to the enduring bonds within our community. The 2020 Charter signing reaffirmed our commitment to neutrality, non-partisanship, and the collective defense of Antarctic claims.

I extend my sincere gratitude to all members, past and present, for their dedication. Let us proceed with enthusiasm, unity, and a shared commitment to the values that bind us.
